Volunteer
The Douglas County School District encompasses the Lake Tahoe and Carson Valley regions. Rich in recreational and cultural diversity, the area provides something for everyone including an opportunity for its residents to participate in the operation of the Douglas County School District.
Community members volunteer for critical planning committees such as the Career & Technical Education Collaborative and the Strategic Planning Committee. Other community members support their child’s school through various volunteer activities, including participation in reading programs and decision-making site councils.

The Douglas County School District's schools also benefit from the partnerships that have been created among business, corporations, and individual schools. We greatly appreciate both the Lake and Valley community participation and support towards the schools in our district.
Safe School Volunteer Program
